203. The Commission des transports, or the inspecting engineer, may limit the number, the schedule time, or the rate of speed, of trains or cars, upon any railway or portion of railway, until such alterations or repairs, as it or he thinks sufficient, have been made, or until such times as it or he thinks prudent.
The company owning, running or using such railway, shall comply forthwith with any such order of the Commission des transports or inspecting engineer, upon notice thereof as aforesaid; and, for every act of non-compliance therewith, such railway company shall forfeit to Her Majesty the sum of $2 000.
