288. Every insurer other than a mutual association must keep, in addition to the other books required by law, a register of:
(a)  the names, in alphabetical order, of all its shareholders, members or participating policyholders, and their addresses;
(b)  in the case of a company, the number of shares held by each shareholder and the calls paid or the balance to be paid on the shares of each of them;
(c)  the names, addresses and occupations of the directors of the company, the date when each became a director and that when he ceased to be such;
(d)  the transfers of shares, the registration number of each transfer, the amount of the subscribed capital and paid-up capital in respect of each share transferred, the names and addresses of the transferor and transferee and the date of the transfer.
