164. The Government may, by regulation, designate other provisions of Part I of the Companies Act (chapter C-38) that are not applicable to it. In the interpretation of the provisions of Part I of the Companies Act, the word “company” means the “federation” and the word “shareholder” means a member of such federation.
Where a provision of the said Part requires the vote of shareholders representing a given proportion of the share capital of a company, such provision must be interpreted as requiring, for the purposes of the application of section 163, a number of votes equal to the given proportion in value.
