294. (1)  Subject to the provisions of the following subsection, an elector who has secured an attestation under section 292 shall be deemed to have voted at the current election at a special polling-station.
(2)  If such elector proves that he has not so voted, he may obtain a ballot-paper to vote at the ordinary polling-station on the general polling-day, provided he is in all other respects entitled to vote; but before obtaining such ballot-paper he must deliver his attestation to the deputy returning-officer, who shall write thereon the word “Used” and retain it to be deposited in the ballot-box after the counting of the votes.
(3)  In order to vote in accordance with the provision of this section, every elector must make oath before the deputy returning-officer that he has not voted at any special polling-station.
