231. Every school board shall ensure that each school evaluates student achievement and administers the examinations imposed by the Minister.
A school board may impose internal examinations in the subjects it determines at the end of each cycle of the elementary level and at the end of the first cycle of the secondary level.

231. Every school board shall establish, by by-law, standards and procedures for the evaluation of student achievement, taking into account what is prescribed in the basic school regulation and subject to the examinations that may be imposed by the Minister.
It shall see to the administration of the examinations imposed by the Minister; in addition, it may impose internal examinations in the subjects it prescribes.
