72. The Public Curator may appear before the courts.
He may, for the purposes of Title II of Book VI of the Code of Civil Procedure (chapter C-25.01) and of the Act respecting the Régie du logement (chapter R-8.1), whether as plaintiff or defendant, appear before the court himself or be represented before it by a member of his staff or by any other person he authorizes in writing. In the case of the recovery of small claims, he shall not be represented by a lawyer or a claims agent, except where permitted by the Code of Civil Procedure.
