36. Every borrower, subsequent owner or occupant of a forest who cuts timber contrary to the management plan governing the forest is guilty of an offence and liable, in addition to costs, to a fine of not less than $5 per apparent cubic meter so cut.
Proceedings for an offence contemplated in the first paragraph are instituted in accordance with the Summary Convictions Act (chapter P-15) by the Attorney General or the Office.
