7. The executive committee shall consist of twelve members chosen from among the members of the Council, including a chairman and a vice-chairman.
The seven members of the executive committee of the City of Montréal shall be members exofficio of the executive committee.
One member for each of the “east”, “centre-west” and “west” sectors and two members for the “centre” sector shall each be appointed by the meeting of the delegates of the municipalities of the sector concerned, called and held in the manner hereinafter provided.
Before taking office, they shall take the oaths provided in the Public Officers Act (chapter E-6).
