249. Every railway company in Québec to which this Act applies, shall, so soon as any portion thereof is in use, pay to the Minister of Transport an annual rate to be fixed by the Commission des transports, not exceeding $6.25 per kilometre of railway constructed and in use; such rate to be paid half-yearly on the 1st of January and 1st of July, in each year, and to form a special fund for the purposes of this Act, to be called the “Railway Inspection Fund”.
