A-29.01 - Act respecting prescription drug insurance

17. For the purposes of this Act,
(1)  child means
(1)  an eligible person under 18 years of age in whose respect a parent or tutor exercises parental authority;
(2)  a spouseless eligible person 25 years of age or under who attends or is deemed to attend an educational institution on a full-time basis as a duly registered student, and who is domiciled with the parent or tutor who would exercise parental authority were the person a minor;
person suffering from a functional impairment means a spouseless eligible person of full age suffering from a functional impairment, referred to in a government regulation, that has existed since before the person’s eighteenth birthday, who receives no benefits under a financial assistance program provided for in Chapter I, II, V or VI of Title II of the Individual and Family Assistance Act (chapter A-13.1.1), and who is domiciled with the parent or tutor who would exercise parental authority were the person a minor;
educational institution means a legal person or a body providing instruction at the secondary, college or university level;
(2)  spouse must be construed in accordance with section 2.2.1 of the Taxation Act (chapter I-3).

The reference to Chapter VI of Title II of the Individual and Family Assistance Act brought by 2018, c. 11 will be applicable on the date to be determined by the Government. (2018, c. 11, ss. 31 and 32)
