Official Time Act
Chapter T-6 is replaced by the Legal Time Act (chapter T-5.1). (2006, c. 39, s. 4).

1. In that part of Québec east of the meridian of sixty-three degrees west longitude, official time shall be Atlantic Standard Time, namely four hours behind Greenwich mean time.

2. In that part of Québec west of the meridian of sixty-three degrees west longitude, official time shall be Eastern Standard Time, namely five hours behind Greenwich mean time.
Nevertheless, between two hours of the first Sunday in April and the same hour on the last Sunday of October, official time in such part of Québec shall be Eastern Daylight Saving Time, namely four hours behind Greenwich mean time.

3. Unless otherwise provided, any expression respecting time in any Act, proclamation, order-in-council, regulation, contract, document or written or oral agreement refers to official time and the same shall apply to any oral or written mention of time.

4. Unless otherwise provided, in the English version of any Act, proclamation, order-in-council or regulation made before 15 March 1966, the expression standard time means official time as defined by this Act.

REPEAL SCHEDULE

In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 3 of the statutes of 1966, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed, except section 6, effective from the coming into force of chapter T-6 of the Revised Statutes.
