218. Every school board shall facilitate the accomplishment of the educational project of each school and of the aims and objectives of each centre.
After consultation with the parents of the students of the school in accordance with the regulation of the Minister and after consultation with the governing board, the school board may apply to the Catholic committee or the Protestant committee for recognition as a Catholic or Protestant school; it may similarly apply for the withdrawal of such recognition.
After consulting with the parents of the students attending the school in accordance with the regulation of the Minister, at the request of the governing board, the school board must apply for such a withdrawal where the governing board so requests.
