Section 573.4 Disposition versions

573.4. Sections 573 to 573.3.4 prevail over any inconsistent provision of any special Act in force on 19 December 2000, except that:

(a)  section 573 has no effect against any provision of a special Act authorizing the council to exempt the executive committee from the formalities pertaining to public tenders, to the extent provided by the said provision;

(b)  the awarding of contracts remains within the competence of the executive committee where that is the rule under the Act governing the municipality.

(a)  section 573 has no effect against any provision of a special Act authorizing the council to exempt the executive committee from the formalities pertaining to public tenders, to the extent provided by the said provision;

(b)  the awarding of contracts remains within the competence of the executive committee where that is the rule under the Act governing the municipality.

573.4. Sections 573, 573.1, 573.2 and 573.3 apply to every city or town municipality governed by whatever law, even to those not contemplated by section 1, except the City of Montréal, and prevail over any inconsistent provision of any special act, except that:

(a)  section 573 has no effect against any provision of a special act authorizing the council to exempt the executive committee from the formalities pertaining to public tenders, to the extent provided by the said provision, for the awarding of contracts involving an amount exceeding $25 000;

(b)  the awarding of contracts remains within the competence of the executive committee where that is the rule under the act governing the municipality.
