The sale may only be stopped by an opposition before the Provincial Court or the Superior Court, according to the amount claimed, where an opposition to the seizure of moveables is permitted by the Code of Civil Procedure (chapter C-25). Such opposition must be accompanied by an order to suspend signed by the judge, judge of the Provincial Court, prothonotary or clerk of the court. It shall be returnable in eight days and is proceeded upon and decided according to the rules of the Code of Civil Procedure.
In addition to the grounds mentioned in article 596 of the Code of Civil Procedure, opposition to annul a seizure may be taken to the competent court for any cause likely to affect the claim of the municipality.
