279. (Repealed).

279. (1)  The general election for mayor and councillors shall be held on the first Sunday of November.
(2)  Any local corporation may, by by-law, change at any time the date of the election for mayor and councillors provided that such date is always fixed for the first Sunday or the first Monday of November.
