15. For a taxi driver’s permit to be renewed, a person must pay a fee of $55 every 2 years to the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec or, if applicable, to the municipal or supramunicipal authority referred to in the second paragraph of section 25 of the Act. For a taxi driver’s permit to be renewed by priority processing, the fee payable to the Société is increased by $22.10. This increase shall not apply if a fee of $22.10 is paid to obtain, renew or replace a plasticized driver’s licence given priority processing at the same time as the application to renew the taxi driver’s permit. If the fee to renew a taxi driver’s permit and the amounts required for licences to drive road vehicles paid to the Société at the same time total $48 or more, the person may pay the total amount by direct debit within 12 months of the issue of the taxi driver’s permit by choosing one of the schedules established in section 73.7 of the Regulation respecting licences (chapter C-24.2, r. 34), with the reference to “section 73.5” in that section replaced by “section 16 of the Taxi Transportation Regulation (chapter S-6.01, r. 3)”.
A person who elects to pay by direct debit is subject to the conditions set out in sections 73.6 and 73.11 of the Regulation respecting licences.
