53. A holder of a hunting licence contemplated in section 52 must give notice in writing forthwith to the Minister of Justice of every claim made or civil suit instituted against him. Failing such a notice or one given by any person able to benefit from section 52, the Government is not bound to pay the damages provided for in the said section.
