28. The maximum contribution shall be $674 per year, divided into equal parts for each month, for persons 65 years of age and over who receive a fraction below 94% of the maximum amount of monthly guaranteed income supplement under the Old Age Security Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. O-9).
The maximum contribution shall be $1,196 per year, divided into equal parts for each month, for all other persons.
For the purposes of the first paragraph, an amount received by a person as a monthly guaranteed income supplement under the Old Age Security Act and the maximum amount that may be paid in that respect must be determined without taking into account the amount that may be added to the amount of the supplement under section 12.1 or 22.1 of that Act.
