180. Before taking office, a justice of the peace must make the oath prescribed in Schedule II before a judge of the Court of Québec.

180. Such justices of the peace shall have and exercise all the powers, and be subject in all respects to the duties of other justices of the peace in virtue of the law; but none of them need reside within, or possess any property qualification in that part of Québec for which he is appointed, or over which his jurisdiction may extend.
