52. The holder of an ambulance service permit may not transfer or assign the permit or transfer or assign the ownership of shares carrying 50% or more of the voting rights to one or more other persons, without the authorization of the agency, which may not deny authorization unless its decision is based on reasons of public interest related to the organization and quality of the services provided to the public.
The decision of the agency must be communicated in writing to the permit holder within 60 days of the application.
Where a permit is transferred or assigned or the ownership of shares carrying 50% or more of the voting rights is transferred or assigned to one or more other persons in accordance with the first paragraph, the agency shall transfer to the transferee or assignee the contract entered into with the transferor or assignor for the unexpired portion of the contract.
