44. The transit authority may alienate property for valuable consideration.
If the alienation is not made at auction or by public tender, the secretary shall publish each month, if necessary, in a newspaper circulated in the territory of the transit authority, a public notice indicating any property the transit authority has alienated in any other manner during the preceding month, in favour of whom it was alienated and for what consideration; he shall forward a copy of the notice to the Minister.

44. The corporation may alienate for valuable consideration any movable or immovable property.
If the alienation is not made at auction or by public tender, the secretary shall publish each month, if necessary, in a newspaper circulated in the territory of the corporation, a public notice indicating any property the corporation has alienated in any other manner during the preceding month, in favour of whom it was alienated and for what consideration; he shall forward a copy of the notice to the Minister.

44. The corporation may
(a)  alienate any vehicle valued at not over $5 000 or any other moveable property valued at not over $500;
(b)  with the permission of the Minister, alienate any part situated outside its territory of a public transport undertaking which it has acquired, and the related permits.
Notwithstanding its authority under subparagraph a, the corporation shall not, without the permission of the Minister, alienate any bus or any other piece of equipment specifically for which it has received a grant.
