94. Where a contributor or beneficiary has disappeared under circumstances that raise a presumption that he is dead, the Board may issue a certificate declaring that, for the purposes of this act, he shall be deemed to have died on the date stated.
Nevertheless, if it is later made to appear that such contributor or beneficiary did not in fact die on the date stated therein, the certificate has effect until such time as it is so made to appear, but has no effect in relation to any period after that time.
The same rules apply when seven years have elapsed without the surviving spouse having appeared at the place of his usual residence and without news having been had of him.
