R-9.1 - Act respecting the Pension Plan of Certain Teachers

18. A person who is a member of this plan may redeem or, as the case may be, be credited under this plan, with any year or part of a year of service which may be redeemed or credited pursuant to the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (chapter R-10), subject to the conditions prescribed therein.
The person is not entitled, however, to avail himself of the right to redeem any year or part of a year of service pursuant to sections 86, 100 and 104 of the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan.
A pensioner under this plan may be credited under this plan with any year or part of a year of service that may be credited to a pensioner under the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan by reason of the application of section 115.11 of the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan, provided the pensioner satisfies the conditions prescribed by that section.

18. A person who is a member of this plan may redeem or, as the case may be, be credited under this plan, with any year or part of a year of service which may be redeemed or credited pursuant to the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (chapter R-10), subject to the conditions prescribed therein.
The person is not entitled, however, to avail himself of the right to redeem any year or part of a year of service pursuant to sections 86, 100 and 104 of the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan.

18. A person who is a member of this plan may redeem or, as the case may be, be credited under this plan, with any year or part of a year of service which may be redeemed or credited pursuant to the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (chapter R-10), subject to the conditions prescribed therein. However, where section 115.7 of the said Act applies, the years and parts of a year of service credited under this plan are determined on an actuarially equivalent basis as established on the date on which the person becomes a member of this plan according to the actuarial assumptions and methods determined by a regulation made under paragraph 3 of section 130 of the Act respecting the Pension Plan of Peace Officers in Correctional Services (chapter R-9.2) in respect of the said plan and this plan. The years and parts of a year of service are then credited in accordance with section 115.7 of the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan and the person may, where applicable, avail himself of section 115.8 of the said Act.

A person who is contributing in accordance with the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (chapter R-10) may redeem or, as the case may be, be credited with any year or part of a year of service, subject to the conditions prescribed by the said Act or, as the case may be, pursuant to agreements entered into in accordance with section 158 of the said Act.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no case may the person referred to in the first paragraph avail himself of sections 86, 100 and 104 of the Act respecting the Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan.
