Full text
57. An employer is not required to contribute to the plan on behalf of employees but may do so where employees are members of the plan.
An employer who contributes to a member’s plan may change the contribution the employer has agreed to pay, subject to any clause to the contrary in an agreement within the meaning of subparagraph 4 of the first paragraph of section 1 of the Act respecting labour standards (chapter N-1.1). The employer must in that case send a written notice to the plan administrator and the member concerned.
The change cannot take effect until the 30th day following the date on which the notice is sent if it means the employer contribution is reduced.
