12. The days and parts of a day during which an officer is on part-time or full-time leave without pay for a period of not less than 28 consecutive days are credited on the application of the officer, subject to the conditions set out in sections 66.1 and 66.2.

12. The days and parts of a day during which an officer takes leave without pay extending over a period of at least 30 consecutive days are credited on the conditions provided in sections 66.1 and 66.2.

12. The Government, upon the recommendation of the incumbent minister of any department, may add to the effective years of service of any person mentioned in section 1 but to whom the second paragraph of section 7 does not apply, such further number of years, not exceeding ten, as it may be considered equitable to grant him.
Such additional number of years shall be taken as part of the term of service on which the superannuation allowance of such officer or employee shall be computed.

12.
