79. The Government may designate the municipalities whose investigators have, in respect of the inquiries provided for in sections 76 and 78, the powers conferred upon commissioners appointed under the Act respecting public inquiry commissions (chapter C-37) for compelling witnesses to appear and answer, except the power to order imprisonment.
