53. Not less than 60 days before the anniversary date of the issue of a permit, the board shall send to the holder a notice informing him of the date on which the annual duties become payable to maintain the permit in force, the amount of such duties and, where such is the case, the amount of any monetary administrative penalty owed.
The holder shall send to the board, before the anniversary date of the issue of his permit, the annual duties determined in accordance with the regulations for such permit and, where applicable, the amount of any monetary administrative penalty claimed.

53. Not less than sixty days before the anniversary date of the issue of a permit, the Régie shall send to the holder a notice informing him of the date on which the annual duties become payable to maintain the permit in force, and the amount of such duties.
The holder shall send to the Régie, not less than thirty days before the anniversary date of the issue of his permit, the annual duties determined in accordance with the regulations for such permit.

53. If a holder does not comply with section 52, his permit is cancelled of right. However, that cancellation has effect only from the date of expiry of the permit.
Notwithstanding the first paragraph, the Régie may renew the permit of a holder who, on reasonable ground, has not complied with the second paragraph of section 52, if that holder sends to the Régie an application for renewal accompanied with the duties prescribed by regulation before the Régie officially declares the permit cancelled pleno jure.

53. If a holder does not comply with section 52, his permit is cancelled of right. However, that cancellation has effect only from the date of expiry of the permit.
Notwithstanding the first paragraph, the Régie may renew the permit of a holder who, on reasonable ground, has not complied with the second paragraph of section 52, if that holder sends to the Régie an application for renewal accompanied with the duties prescribed by regulation before the date of expiry of the permit.
