4. Petroleum products must be manufactured and distributed in such a way as to ensure that, in normal conditions of use and when used as intended, they provide satisfactory levels of performance while minimizing the negative impacts on persons, property and the environment.

4. Petroleum products must be composed in such a way as to ensure that, in normal conditions of use and when used as intended, they provide satisfactory levels of performance while minimizing the danger to persons, property and the environment.

4. Petroleum products must be composed and petroleum equipment must be manufactured, installed, used and maintained in order to ensure that, in normal conditions of use and when used as intended, they provide satisfactory levels of performance while minimizing the danger to persons, property and the environment.

4. This Act is binding on the Government, government departments and government agencies.
