83. Every special constable appointed under section 80 shall take the oaths prescribed in section 4 before the judge who appoints him.
Every special constable appointed by the mayor of a municipality shall take such oaths before him or before the clerk or secretary-treasurer of the municipality.
A writing attesting that the special constable has complied with this section shall be drawn up at once in duplicate and one of the duplicates shall be given to the special constable.
