52. The right to lodge a complaint regarding police ethics is prescribed one year after the date of the event or knowledge of the event that gave rise to the complaint.

52. The right to lodge a complain in matters of ethics against a police officer is prescribed by two years, except where the transgression is also a criminal offence punishable by way of indictment only.
Prescription runs from the occurrence of the alleged transgression.
