M-4 - Master Pipe-Mechanics Act

20. Any person who is not a member in good standing of the Corporation is liable to a fine of $5,000 to $25,000 in the case of an individual or $15,000 to $75,000 in the case of a corporation if:
(1)  he carries on business in Québec as a master pipe-mechanic;
(2)  he gives the impression or allows it to be presumed or wrongly believed that he is entitled to carry on the trade of a master pipe-mechanic or wrongfully assumes the style of master pipe-mechanic or piping contractor.

20. Any person who is not a member in good standing of the Corporation is liable to a fine of between $500 and $1,000 in the case of an individual or between $1,000 and $2,000 in the case of a corporation if:
(1)  he carries on business in Québec as a master pipe-mechanic;
(2)  he gives the impression or allows it to be presumed or wrongly believed that he is entitled to carry on the trade of a master pipe-mechanic or wrongfully assumes the style of master pipe-mechanic or piping contractor.

20. Any person who is not a member in good standing of the Corporation is liable to a fine of between $500 and $1 000 in the case of an individual or between $1 000 and $2 000 in the case of a corporation, in addition to costs, if:
(1)  he carries on business in Québec as a master pipe-mechanic;
(2)  he gives the impression or allows it to be presumed or wrongly believed that he is entitled to carry on the trade of a master pipe-mechanic or wrongfully assumes the style of master pipe-mechanic or piping contractor.

20. Any person who, not being a member in good standing of the Corporation:
(a)  carries on business in Québec as a master pipe-mechanic;
(b)  infringes this Act;
(c)  permits it to be understood, or causes it to be presumed or believed, when it is not true, either by a title or by a capacity which he assumes, or by placing letters or signs before or after his name, or by any other means, that he has the right to carry on the trade of a master pipe-mechanic, or usurps any of the titles reserved for members of the Corporation, commits an infraction of this act and is liable to a fine of $100 to $200 for a first offence, and of $200 to $1 000 for each subsequent offence within two years.
