427. If the original ballot-papers or other documents are required at the trial of an election contestation, the court or judge having cognizance of the contestation may, at the instance of any of the parties, notify the director general of elections to produce them on the day fixed for the trial; and the director general of elections shall deposit them at the place indicated on or before the said day and take a receipt therefor.
