419. If, at the trial of an election contestation, a candidate or other person is found guilty by the report of the judge of having at that election, himself or by any person acting with the knowledge and consent of such candidate, aided, abetted, counselled or participated in or rewarded the commission of the offence of personation, the election, if such candidate has been elected, shall be declared null; and moreover such candidate or person shall be disqualified, during the ten years next after the date of his being so found guilty, from being elected to or sitting in the Assemblée nationale and from voting at any election of a member of that Assemblée and from holding any office or employment in the appointment of the Gouvernement.
