328. Before suspending the proceedings, the judge shall always place the ballot-papers and the other documents relating to the election in an envelope sealed under his own signature and those of such of the persons present as desire to sign it, and shall otherwise take all necessary precautions for the care and security of such ballot-papers and documents.
