292. (1)  The returning-officer or his representative or the election-clerk of every electoral district must remain at the official office of the returning-officer from thirteen hours until twenty-two hours of each day during which the special polling-stations are open.
(2)  Every elector shall be entitled to an attestation in the form 63 authorizing him to vote at a special polling-station, who applies for it in person and establishes to the satisfaction of the returning-officer, the election-clerk or the person appointed under subsection 1 of section 285, that he is one of the persons contemplated by section 291 and entitled to vote at a special polling-station.
(3)  Such identity may be established by means of a pass or certificate enabling the elector to obtain free or at reduced rates tickets for transportation by railway, ship or other means of communication.
(4)  The elector shall sign the attestation in the presence of the returning-officer, the election-clerk or any person appointed under subsection 1 of section 285 who shall sign it and deliver it to him free of charge.
