289. (1)  The special polling-stations shall be open from fourteen hours until twenty-two hours on the following days:

(a)  Thursday and Friday of the week before the general polling if the general polling is held on Sunday;

(b)  the Friday and Saturday preceding the week of the general polling if the general polling is held on Monday or Tuesday;

(c)  Saturday of the week preceding the general polling and Monday of the week of the general polling in other cases.

(2)  On such days and during such hours, the deputy returning-officer of each special polling-station shall receive in the polling-station, in the manner hereinafter prescribed, the votes of the electors entitled to vote at such polling-station.
