262. (1)  The poll-clerk shall enter in the poll-book, opposite the name of each person presenting himself to vote, the word “Voted”, as soon as his ballot-paper has been deposited in the ballot-box; the word “Sworn”, indicating the numbers of the form of the oath and of the questions put to him, if the oath has been administered, and the words “Refused to be sworn” or “Refused to answer” if he has refused to take any oath or to answer the questions asked.
(2)  If the person has voted under section 246 the poll-clerk must also enter in the poll-book, opposite the name of such person, the words “Voted on attestation of the returning-officer” or “election-clerk”, as the case may be.
