195. In cities and towns, the returning-officer shall, as far as possible, group the polling-stations of several polling-subdivisions not exceeding ten in a public hall, school or other large premises. In such case he must see that, during voting hours, at least one municipal constable or a special constable appointed and sworn in by him is present to show the persons presenting themselves there the station where they are to vote, and to facilitate traffic.
Every school board must permit the use of its schools for the purposes of this section.
Polling-day shall be a holiday in the schools under the direction of any local or regional school board in the electoral district where a poll is held.
