139. Every person of age and entitled to be entered on an electoral list in Québec under this act may be a candidate for election as and be elected a member of the Assemblée nationale, if free from all legal disability.
Nevertheless, no person may be a candidate for election in more than one electoral district at the same election.
Any person who has been a candidate at an election held under this act and whose official agent has not produced within the prescribed delay the return and declaration required by section 113 of the Act to govern the financing of political parties (chapter F-2) cannot again be nominated as long as such return and declaration have not been produced and he has not been excused for the delay by order of a judge.
A person who is the official representative or official agent of a candidate or of a party during an election shall not, as long as he remains so, be a candidate during such election.
