22. A club permit entitles the holder to sell alcoholic beverages, except draught beer, for consumption on the premises, to persons who are entitled to the privileges of membership under the club’s by-laws.
A club, within the meaning of this act, is an incorporated association of persons that operates an establishment for its members and not for profit.
Notwithstanding the restrictions imposed by a municipal by-law, a club permit may be granted to a golf, tennis, squash, curling or yacht club, or to a club of race-horse-owners whose establishment is located on the race track property.
