I-8.1 - Act respecting offences relating to alcoholic beverages

119. A minor who contravenes section 103.9 is guilty of an offence. If he is condemned to a fine, it shall not exceed $100.

119. Whosoever, being under eighteen years of age,
(a)  is found, without legitimate excuse, in any place where a bar permit or public house or “pub” permit or tavern permit is used;
(b)  purchases alcoholic beverages for himself or for another; or
(c)  falsely claims to be eighteen years of age or older in order to purchase alcoholic beverages or to be admitted to a room where a bar permit, public house or “pub” permit or tavern permit is used,
is guilty of an offence under this act and liable, in addition to the costs, to a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars and, in default of payment of the fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than thirty days.
In any proceeding for an offence mentioned in this section, the burden shall be upon the defendant to prove that he is at least eighteen years of age.
