15. (Replaced).

15. Financial responsibility is required for each automobile registered in the name of the same owner.
But if proof of financial responsibility is furnished otherwise than by a guarantee of liability insurance, the amount required shall not exceed one hundred thousand dollars whatever be the number of automobiles.
The director may fix a greater total amount, according to the circumstances of each case.
