402. The Comité shall consist of members designated in the following manner:
(1)  each school service centre on the island of Montréal shall designate one person from among the members of its board of directors sitting as parent representatives or community representatives;
(2)  the Minister shall designate four persons, including one person domiciled on the island of Montréal, chosen after consultation with the parents’ committees of the school service centres on the island of Montréal, one person domiciled outside the island of Montréal, chosen after consultation with organizations representing the parents, and two persons chosen from among the managerial staff of the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport.
If a school service centre fails to make the designation as provided in subparagraph 1 of the first paragraph, the Minister shall, within 30 days of the vacancy, designate a person from among the members of that school service centre’s board of directors.

(1)  each school board on the island of Montréal shall designate one person from among its commissioners elected or appointed under the Act respecting school elections to elect certain members of the boards of directors of English-language school service centres (chapter E-2.3);
(2)  the Minister shall designate two persons, one person chosen from among the managerial staff of the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport and another person domiciled on the island of Montréal, chosen after consultation with the parents’ committees of the school boards on the island of Montréal.
If a school board fails to make the designation as provided in subparagraph 1 of the first paragraph, the Minister shall, within 30 days of the vacancy, designate a person from among the commissioners of that school board.

(2)  the Minister shall designate two persons, one person chosen from among the managerial staff of the Ministère de l’Éducation and another person domiciled on the island of Montréal, chosen after consultation with the parents’ committees of the school boards on the island of Montréal.
If a school board fails to make the designation as provided in subparagraph 1 of the first paragraph, the Minister shall, within 30 days of the vacancy, designate a person from among the commissioners of that school board.

402. The Council shall consist of members designated in the following manner:
(1)  each school board on the island of Montréal shall, within 30 days after the election of its commissioners, designate one person from among them;
(2)  each school board having over 25 000 students attending its schools shall, within the same time limit, designate one additional person from among its commissioners and, where it has over 40 000 students, another additional person per 15 000 students in excess of 25 000;
(3)  the Government shall, after consultation with the parents’ committees of the school boards on the island of Montréal, appoint, within 30 days after the election of the commissioners, three other members from among the persons domiciled on the island of Montréal.
If a school board fails to designate such persons within the prescribed time, the Government may appoint them from among the commissioners of the school board.
