153. The secretaries general of the school service centres whose territories are amalgamated or totally annexed shall jointly proceed, within 30 days before the change takes effect, to the election of the representative and the chair of the parents’ committee of the school service centre resulting from the amalgamation or annexation.
The secretary general of the school service centre whose territory is divided to allow the establishment of new school service centres shall assume the same obligations in respect of each of the school service centres resulting from the division.
The election shall take place according to the procedure prescribed in sections 145 and 190, as the case may be. The persons elected shall remain in office until they are replaced by persons elected in accordance with those sections.

In addition, in the case of a confessional or dissentient school board referred to in section 146, the secretaries general shall, within the same period, proceed, where applicable, to the election of any commissioner representing the parents of the minority of students described in the said section.
