11. Under the direction of the Minister, the Deputy Minister shall administer the department.
He shall, in addition, perform any other duty assigned to him by the Government or the Minister.

11. Under the direction of the Minister, the Deputy Minister shall supervise the other functionaries and employees of the department, administer the day to day business thereof and exercise such other powers as are assigned to him by the Government.
