16.3. For the purposes of this Act, an information resource project consists in all the actions taken to develop, acquire, update or replace an information asset or information resource service. It is considered to be of “government-wide interest” if it is designated as such by the Government or if it involves the designation of a public body to act as an official source of government digital data under section 12.14.
However, a technology research and development project carried out in the context of teaching or research under the direction of a professor, researcher, senior lecturer, student, intern, technician or research professional at a university institution referred to in subparagraph 4.1 of the first paragraph of section 2 is not an information resource project.
