Section 31 Disposition versions

31. The following persons are guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of not more than $500:

(1)  every person who contravenes any provision of section 10;

(2)  every person who hinders or attempts to hinder an investigation commissioner in the performance of his duties.

31. (1)  Every person who without reasonable grounds infringes section 10 shall be guilty of an offence and liable, on summary proceeding, to a fine of not more than $500 and to payment of the costs.

(2)  Every person shall be guilty of an offence and liable, on summary proceeding, to a fine of not more than $500 and to payment of the costs, or to imprisonment for not more than three months, or to both at the same time, who hinders or attempts to hinder an investigation commissioner in the performance of his duties.
