259. Every school board shall ensure that the population in its territory is provided with the educational services to which it is entitled.
The school board shall also ensure that the persons who, within the boundaries of its territory, are committed or placed under custody pursuant to the Youth Protection Act (chapter P-34.1), the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S-5) or the Young Offenders Act (Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, chapter Y-1) receive the educational services to which they are entitled.
