104. Subject to the educational plan of the school and any by-laws of the school board, the education committee shall also
(1)  decide on the implementation of new methods of instruction in the school;
(2)  select the instructional equipment and supplies required for the teaching of the official programs of studies and of the programs of studies adopted by the school board, subject to the budgetary estimates of the school; in the case of the official programs of studies, the selection is made from the list of instructional equipment and supplies approved by the Minister;
(3)  define the long term objectives governing the selection of teaching materials by the teachers.
The principal shall perform the duties of the education committee prescribed in this section where the committee fails to perform them.
