213. From 8:00 p.m. on polling day, the deputy returning officer, with the help of the poll clerk, shall proceed, for each advance polling station, with the counting of the votes in the presence of a representative designated by each authorized party. The counting of the votes is effected at the place determined by the chief electoral officer in accordance with sections 272 to 276, adapted as required.
No ballot paper may be rejected for the sole reason that it contains a spelling mistake.
Furthermore, no ballot paper may be rejected when it is possible to determine clearly for whom the elector intended to vote.
